BFM required a programme to promote their ideal of “tomorrow’s
antiques today” through the use of National Vocational Qualifications
in Britain.
The DVD shows modern teaching methods, skills and equipment
maintain British furniture’s place in the world market place.

Wensleydale Railway
Wensleydale railway has reopened after fifty years of
inactivity. Obsidian produced a full documentary of the official opening
performed by the Conservative front Bench spokesman and MP for RIchmond,
William Hague.
The documentary also shows historic detail of the enthusiasts’ 13-year
fight to reopen the line. and concludes with a trip up the line of special
interest to rail enthusiasts.

Weardale Railway
Weardale railway, like Wensleydale, also fought for more than a decade to reopen
its line. It had temporary success in the early years of the new millennium,
but is sadly no longer running.
The fight goes and part of those early years is shown in the Obsidian documentary,
Rail and Dale. |

Ragworth Christian Fellowship
Ragworth Christian Fellowship is a small church in Stockton, Tees Valley. The pastor, Syd Strike, is celebrating 21 years association with the Fellowship and this is being used to develop a DVD lilnking his 21 years with the development of the Fellowship and the part it has played in helping individiuals as well as, by association, the community.
This DVD is currently being compiled and will be ready for the celebrations during the autumn of 2006.

Hambledon and Richmondshire Primary Care Trust
Hambledon and Richmondshire Primary Care Trust made use of Obsidians expertise to produce an in-house video covering the relationship between the PCT and the National Health Service.
The PCT wrote that they loved the video and so did the Chief Executive, Board and sponsors. I sincerely hope we get chance to work together again, it was a pleasure.

Daisy Chain
Daisy Chain is a ground-breaking charity which aims at providing a respite centre for autistic children and their families. Obsidian has provided them with videos which help to advance their cause which is currently raising a million pounds to convert a farm into a specialist centre described by a local councillors as likely to become the jewel in the crown of local care services.

Brubeck
The legendary jazz pianist whose quartets performances have gone into history, last performed in England in Leicester and the concert became the subject of an international radio broadcast. Obsidians director, George Lambelle, edited, mixed and post-produced the performance.

Redcar Community College
Redcar Community College enlisted the expertise of Obsidian for a dramatised documentary featuring their students who recreated a railway journey on the original Darlington to Stockton Railway Line. It showed a family contemplating a move to East Cleveland showing how the line opened up the ironstone mining of Cleveland leading to the growth of the great Teesside industrial conurbation around Middlesbrough

Winkies Castle
Winkies Castle is a tiny museum in the East Coast village of Marske-by-the-Sea. It was built around the collection of artefacts and pictures collected by a local cobbler. The DVD produced by Obsidian shows the history of Marske and is now being sold by the museum in its fund-raising activities.

Meet the Middletons
Meet the Middletons is a museum in the beautiful Upper Teesdale town of Middleton-in-Teesdale. In support of the museum, which shows the historic life of the area during the Nineteenth Century lead mining period through a fictitious family needed a DVD in support of its need for grant-aid development. The DVD was conceived, scripted, edited and produced by Obsidian.

Trimdon 2000
This is a new venture and discussions will continue for several weeks as the group gets down to the detail of their requirements. It is real inasmuch as I have been formally appointed to handle the history and current events in and around The Prime Ministers home village in DVD form, developed for streaming.
